Ways To Overcome Sadness
When it comes to feeling sad or depressed, there is no “one size fits all” solution or right way to deal with these emotions. I know this firsthand, because I’ve been there myself.
Back in 1997, I was really sad and clinically depressed. I was overwhelmed with being a new mom. I was in an unhealthy, abusive relationship. I had gained weight and was completely drained trying to be EVERYTHING to EVERYONE. I had truly forgotten who I was—who LISA was.

Let me preface this, by making it clear that some depression requires medical support—so I’m in NO WAY advocating or advising against that. What I AM doing is shedding some awareness on the feelings of loneliness and the belief systems that come into play as the root cause of these emotions.
